Mimetas launches OrganoAccess™ perfusable vascular bed for advanced 3D tissue modeling

Oegstgeest, the Netherlands-based Mimetas announces it is launching OrganoAccess™ – a complete solution for establishing a robust, perfusable network‑like mesh of very small blood vessels in an organ-on-a-chip.
This latest product complements existing Mimetas microphysiological products and CRO services, addressing the growing need for more complex and physiologically relevant 3D tissue models, particularly those that incorporate functional vasculature and enable immune‑cell interaction in a standardized, reproducible format.
OrganoAccess™ comprises of the OrganoPlate® Graft UF platform, qualified cells and reagents, optimized protocols, technology access and expert scientific support.
As it is the case for all Mimetas' OrganoPlate® devices, OrganoAccess™ uses gravity-driven flow, without tubes and pumps, thus reducing complexitiy. The plate's design ensures unidirectional perfusion, with consistent nutrient delivery, physiological cues and removal of waste. OrganoAccess™ is membrane-free, enabling more physiological cell interactions and enhancing vascularization.
WIth OrganoAccess™, the perfusable microvascular networks form within 10 days and stay stable for 8+ weeks. The solution is particularly suited for acute and chronic compound exposure, drug transport, endothelial barrier function, immune cell trafficking, vascular-stromal interaction and other vascularized tissue studies.
