Genoskin expands its portfolio of ex vivo skin models with the launch of BreastSkin

27 July 26
Toulouse-based Genoskin, CRO and leading provider of ex-vivo human skin models, announces the launch of BreastSkin, a live, full-thickness human breast skin model. This model now joins Genoskin's existing portfolio of HypoSkin, NativeSkin, WoundSkin, FacialSkin, HairSkin, FreshHypodermis and primary human mast cells.
Developed from donor-consented human skin, BreastSkin recapitulates human-specific tissue architecture, making it particularly suited for predictive cosmetic, dermatology, and aesthetic R&D.
Its site-specific skin biology provides the targeted relevance needed for testing hydratation, firmness, anti-aging and other products for breats, bust, and décolleté skin care applications.
Ready-to-use with dedicated culture medium, this model empowers researchers to generate relevant data before clinical testing, screen substances, and obtain mechanistic claim substantiations.
Genoskin has long-standing experience supporting projects across the biomedical and cosmetic sectors. Earlier this year its WoundSkin model supported the evaluation of efficacy, biodistribution and retention of Merakris Therapeutics cell-free amniotic fluid platform MTX-001 for treating venous leg ulcers.
This project received the Best Laboratory Research Award at the Symposium for Advanced Wound Care Spring 2026, recognizing the preclinical data that demonstrates that Merakris’ MTX-001 delivers statistically significant acceleration of wound closure.
